Shahmad Muhammad is an actor, screenwriter, and director. He is a transfer student at the University of Central Florida in his junior year (graduation Spring 2022) with a minor in Crime, Law, and Deviance.

As an actor, he has appeared in Theatre UCF’s production of Kill Move Paradise (Grif), The Rover (Phillipo/Masquaraders), Sweat (Evan), and Titanic (Ensemble). He has also appeared In FAMU’s Essential Theatre world premiere of the production Sing On, Ms. Griot (Ensemble). As a screenwriter, he has written and produced multiple short films that you can find on his Youtube channel @ShahmadMuhammad. As a director he has co-founded the student run theatre company, Moment to Moment. He also directed the short films FORECAST and So Much More.

In his spare time, he enjoys binging various Netflix shows (He’s a big fan of the Netflix originals Dark and Elite). Shahmad also likes to consider himself a poet and keeps a journal where he jots down his ideas, hoping to create his own poetry book one day. He enjoys cooking for his family when he can and playing a very competitive game of Uno. When it’s really nice out, he also likes to go cycling and explore the neighborhood.
